Cambodia celebrates Visak Bochea Day, or Buddha's Day, on June 2, which marks the anniversary of the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and death.
The religious holiday is held annually in Cambodia where 90 percent of the country's 14.5 million citizens are Buddhists. At the event, worshippers pray to the Lord Buddha by lighting candles, incense sticks and laying flowers before his statues and relics and they also give offerings of food and money to Buddhist monks in dedication of their deceased relatives.
