Major grants include:

  • Settlement Grants Program (SGP)
    Funds delivery of services to assist eligible humanitarian entrants to become self reliant and participate equitably in Australian society as soon as possible after arrival.
    Run by the Federal Department of Social Services.

Grant writing support

  • SCOPE - Sustainable Community Organisations through Partnership and Engagement Program, which:
    • coordinates training and development across government and the sector
    • provides resources and information
    • works in partnership with peak organisations to improve capacity across the sector
    • facilitates mentoring and partnerships arrangements
    • provides a 1:1 approach of support
    • facilitates support through regional networks.

Settlement Service

The Australian Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia (AMRC) supports the settlement and participation of people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, particularly those who are new arrivals to South Australia. The AMRC operates from various metropolitan and rural locations:
