Legal advice on migration
The Legal Services Commission of South Australia offers a wide variety of immigration and refugee legal advice and assistance, primarily through its Adelaide Office. Staff can provide free migration information and advice to anyone in South Australia, and they can also help people with visa applications if they cannot afford to pay a migration agent and are disadvantaged. Tel: +61 8 8111 5555. It also has a Free Legal Helpline available across South Australia via 1300 366 424.
Registered migration agents offer general advice and assistance about migration, proposing or sponsoring family members to settle in Australia, visa applications, visa categories and conditions, appeals and citizenship. This service is available for all community members. Most humanitarian entrants and migrants with a Centrelink healthcare card are entitled to a free appointment. Run by the Australian Migrant Resource Centre of South Australia.
