Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs)

The Personal Helpers and Mentors service (PHaMs) provides respectful and culturally sensitive assistance to people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness by providing services that include: someone to talk to; advice on family life and relationships; advice on health services; support with access to Centrelink, legal aid or housing; advice on banking and budgeting; help understanding cultural differences; help to become more involved in the community.

For people who are 16 years or over and come from a non-English speaking background, and those who have been in refugee or detention centres, who are worrying or are having a hard time.
